The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Who doesn't like Christmas? I mean, honestly, even the people who say they don't like Christmas can't really mean it. I just don't believe them. What's not to like? It's the only holiday that's so fantastic it has to have an entire month-long season leading up to it. It's the only holiday that can make cold weather seem tolerable or even a little bit enjoyable. And, perhaps best of all, it's the only holiday that makes songs by Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby and other old-school crooners acceptable fodder for radio stations to play.

So this blog is officially ringing in the Christmas season, and all posts from now until New Year's will be glorifying the many wonderful aspects of my favorite holiday.

To get things started, allow me to present my vote for Best New Christmas Carol: Christmas Bells by someone named DJ Europe, the self-proclaimed "World's Number 2 DJ."

I first came across this masterpiece on the music player built into Facebook's "My Christmas Tree" application. The song is admittedly stupid, but it's so dang catchy that I somehow found myself listening to it over and over again. His blog says the music video is coming soon, so I'll be sure to post that as soon as it's available. For now, enjoy the music and the Christmas season!

"SING and RING those CHRIStmas BELLS ding DOOOOOOOOOOONG!"

I heart Christmas too -- cookies, lights, music. It's even better now that I don't work retail.
